Well an relatively uneventful first day of our travels. Headed out west on Transcanada Highway No. 17 by middle of the afternoon. Most common site along the road is trees.. and trees.. and you now something... more trees. We've taken this road before and we know that trees are always nearby in this part of Canada.
I've heard that trees, rocks and rivers are the dominant landmarks in much of Canada. This is so true of what we saw today and will be true for the next few days.
We got as far as North Bay Ontario.
Anxiously awaiting word from Saskatoon over our son-in-law's surgery...
