Why do we have homeless folks in Canada? I believe a country like ours which is so blessed with resources should not have people with no place to stay... yet we do.
There is a need for more housing so no one has to live on the street.
Our shelters seemed to be always full.. in some communities I have heard any person who wants a place to sleep will always find there is a place..but one has to be in a 'crisis' to find such a place....
Wouldn't it be nice if homelessness did not exist???

Agreed. Shelters are not safe, or conducive to getting a good night's sleep. I think its a crime that Canada has not done anything to resolve this, and in fact, the reverse - kicking people out of their makeshift homes in Vancouver to accommodate corrupt sporting activities like the Olympic games.
