Credit Card Interest Rates

With lending rates of large financial institutions so low these days, it is horrible that banks and other credit card issuers charge such high interest rates. They have for years encouraged folks to use credit cards (sometimes with short term low interest rates) and then 'jack up' their rates... some to over 28%. Awful!!!
